You can catch them almost anywhere, the effortless French women line the streets of Paris, and it’s difficult not to admire them. With their simple yet elegant aura, after almost four months of living in Paris, I have picked up on a few beauty trends that these women have to share. The French beauty market is expansive and has been applauded for years for its quality and style. Walk into any pharmacy and you will find a plethora of different cosmetics that every Parisian woman has. From Nuxe to Caudalie, I will be sharing some of the new products I have picked up and been loving as well as tips and tricks to fulfill your French girl dreams. 

The first time I walked into a pharmacy in Paris, needless to say I was overwhelmed. The extensive shelfs of endless amazing beauty products can be overwhelming to a young American girl. I had absolutely no idea where to even begin. Slowly, thanks to local young women and some extensive research, I started to pick up some of my favorite products in a sea of many. Before I share my favorite French beauty products, I want to tell you all what I was looking to “fix” as this is influential to the products that I have picked up. When I stepped into these pharmacies, I had the mission of finding products that would brighten and add glow to my skin. Hydrate the face and elevate my hair care routine. And of course, just fix my skin overall. Because somehow every Parisian woman has perfect skin, despite all of the pollution. It's mesmerizing like magic. I seriously don’t know how they do it. Starting off with the most well-known, the staple red lip. It’s true, it’s not a stereotypical ideal, the simple but bold red lip that many french women wear elevates their look while keeping it elegant. Add a red lip to any look and you will be set for night and day. On the flip side, one of the keys to attaining that effortless look is quite literally in the name. It’s effortless. Well not really, but Parisian women keep their makeup and skincare routines very minimal and simple. This practice adds to the elegance and timelessness that we all admire. Finally, a little bit of blush goes a long way. Go back to the basics. Keep it simple and light and you too will find yourself in the realm of effortless french beauty.
