My Fashion Favorites of Paris

Hi everyone, for my final blog post I wanted to write about the fashion boutiques I have stumbled upon in Paris, why I love them, and why you should go! Being a study abroad student has been nothing short of spectacular, and I cannot believe I am in my final weeks here in Paris. Paris has been a hub for learning, fashion, food, art, music, and culture. Unlike my experience in America, there are countless places a Parisian can stumble into and come out with something unique, or an experience to remember. I am going to share with you some of the experiences I have had in Paris, and I hope to persuade you to try out some of these places yourself!

My first and favorite place in Paris is a boutique in the 3rd arrondissement called Merci. Merci is two-fold: half café and half clothing store. Upon walking into the café, visitors are overwhelmed with a sense of nostalgia. Merci Café has repurposed an old book shop into a bustling café that serves both coffee, tea, and delicious lunch. But, Merci does not stop there. Behind the café you can find a two-story store filled with a wide range of clothes, shoes, bags, accessories, and even home decor. These are pieces that will last you a lifetime, and the store changes seasonally to keep business in tact.

Another boutique that I stumbled upon and fell in love with is called Monsieur. This shop, located in the Marais, is best for delicate jewlrey. One can fit in and be a true parisian by purchasing a piece of delicate gold jewlrey from Monsieur. The pieces here range from staples to statements and will even do custom engraving for your order.

Finally, for understated Parisian style, try Le Centre Commercial in République. Here, you can pick up well-crafted sweatshirts, Veja sneakers, and timeless staples for women, men, and even children.

In the end, Paris is a home for self-discovery. When it comes to style, try something new and see where it gets you. You won’t regret it!
