My Not-So Modern Muses

When it comes to fashion, I like to think I have my own individual style. Curated garments from my own personal liking to jewelry that uniquely is tied to who I am and how I express myself. However, this is not to say that I do not get a plethora of my fashion inspiration from many fashionable women throughout history. Many of my modern muses are not so modern. In fact, many have unfortunately passed away, but their style has lived on. From iconic women like Bridget Bardot, Jane Birkin, Sharon Tate, Princess Diana and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, These women have all immensely shaped the way that I dress. Not only are all of their fashion choices effortless, chic, timeless and expressive, but they have a way in which they carry themselves through their fashion choices that I admire the most. 

All these women, while inherently different, bring to  the closet a plethora of unique and stylistic choices that have lived on throughout time. Through my not so modern Muses, I have a combination of stylistic choices when it comes to my wardrobe. I love a boho chic moment but of course I can opt for a more Parisian Style, some may say quiet luxury aesthetic. It honestly depends on the season, and that's what makes it so fun. Come summertime my wardrobe is way different than in the freezing cold months of January and February. Needless to say I love all the seasons and the fashion that comes with it, and these women help me dress the way that I do. 

Besides the garments that they wear, the way in which these women expressed their own individuality is extensive. From Bridget Bardot, Jane Birkin and Shanon Tate These Hollywood type stars were bohemian and playful with the way that they dressed period from dresses to Simple t-shirts they tend to be my inspiration in the spring and summer months. 

 Princess Diana and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy  give me that effortless, timeless and Chic fall and winter fashion that every girl loves.  I looked to these women not only for their fashion but for their strength.  They have paved the way for many young women like me to continue my love for fashion and not be afraid to express myself through the clothes that I wear and make choices that are different from others or the norm.  Fashion is something to be celebrated.  It is something that can bring people together and it lives on through generations.  I admire each of these women for allowing themselves to have a joy in their clothes and what they wore.  of course they were all very accomplished in what they did and in their careers, but equally as successful they were in their fashion choices.
