New York Fashion; I miss you 

Studying abroad in the fashion capital of the world has been nothing short of extraordinary. The rich history that is Parisian fashion is evident among the streets that line the city. From my own time in Paris, I have gathered an abundance of knowledge not only about the fashion industry but street style as well. And while I love Paris, there is something that is missing. That upbeat, hustle energy, that inspires you. I miss New York fashion. Born and raised in the city, I have always been surrounded by a whirlwind of artists and fashion connoisseurs. New Yorker’s have an ability to dress like no one is watching which Paris in my opinion lacks. While the Parisians are effortlessly chic, they fall into the same pattern of looks. There is a lack of individuality that crawls the streets of New York. 

New York fashion, specifically street style, is one of the most interesting perspectives to zone in on. The eclectic mix of garments that strut up and down the streets of the hustle and bustle of the city are hard to beat. Of course you have your typical 9-5 goers who still find a way to make every office outfit chic, unique, and timeless. But then on the flip side, you have artists, photographers, designers, entrepreneurs, who bring their own creativity to their clothing. Rather than chic, unique, and timeless, they are fresh, dynamic and eye-catching. There are robust differences in the street style one can see in New York City, all fashionable nonetheless. 

Not to mention the fashionableness of those on the streets of New York is ageless. From pre teens to sixties, there is a collective sense of style and love for clothing.
