Summer Send Off 

As summer rapidly approaches and school starts to wind down, my brain inevitably has started to think about and curate my summer wardrobe. Summer is always one of the most exciting but often complicated times when it comes to fashion. It’s either way too hot to wear your favorite pair of jeans, or just chilly enough that you aren’t sufficient in just a dress. Whatever the weather may be, I am here to project some of my summer 2024 fashion favorites to add to your wardrobe. 

Summer, especially in a city, is a season where expression comes to life. This summer season, I plan to add some new pieces to the eclectic mix of classic summer garments. First off, we have been seeing a rise in prints, particularly animals. While I love a good cheetah print, I feel as though it serves its purpose better in the fall and winter months. Instead, I will be opting for incorporating pops of color within my wardrobe. From colorful sneakers and heels, to printed  mini bags, an easy and effective way to spice up any summer look is to add a pop of color. Particularly because many of us gravitate towards the color white during the summer time. Whether it be in the form of pants, a dress, or sweater, why not raise the bar and add some pops of color. 

An all jean outfit or formally known as the “canadian tuxedo” is a perfect elevated look for summer. Now, when I say this, I of course mean to make it chic. But an all jean outfit can be an elegant and cool look to implement into you everyday rotation of clothes. Opt for an all jean jumpsuit, a matching long sleeve and pants look, or even a simple denim bag. Denim is always a fun and chic fabric to make any summer look playful. 

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, but accessories are everything. A huge part of styling verus wearing your clothes is the elements you add on. The summer is a perfect time to experiment with different styles of accessories and to find your signature look. Chunky gold jewlery with colorful undertones is always a good idea. Play around with mixing and matching your jewlery as well as hair accessories. What better time to invest in a super cute straw hat for lounging on the beach. Or that chic trucker hat you have been eyeing. And don’t forget a cute purse, big or small, and your classic pair of sunglasses to go with it. Summer is all about accessories. And you should be too.
